<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I am officially OBSESSED with this jacket. Oversized, monochrome, slick, stylish, everything you could ever want from a spring jacket and you will never guess where it is from... Tesco. Yes you read right, everyone's favourite supermarket for their fruit and veg and daily needs, well now mark it in your books as one for bang on fashion. I do have a couple of bits from F&F, standard cosy jumpers, silk cami's and basic jeans but I've never seen anything this 'fashionable' lining the aisles. I think it would be an understatement to say I'm pleasantly surprised. If you saw this in Topshop you'd be looking at a figure around the £100 mark, but good'ol Tesco - £40. I want it, no I need it. I'm seeing myself now in a minimalist black vest, black leather trousers and some barely there white midi's. And of course an oversized black clutch. I'm sold. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I really don't know why I keep coming up with these wishlists because I just make myself upset at the fact that I cannot possibly afford to buy all of the beautiful things on them! Though currently laid up in bed with a trapped nerve in my spine and pretty high on medication as I write this, it does cheer me up somewhat to do a bit of online shopping, so I think it's allowed! My hair NEEDS to grow, after 3 years of growing out a bob I'll try anything to get it long and luscious - even with the ludicrous price tag! The Guerlain compact is just beautiful, enough said. My nails are like my hair, they never grow, and working at a nursery means I can't really have my beloved falsies anymore so I need a little helping hand to get them looking lovely as opposed to a man's stubby sausage fingers. Everyone needs a good purifying mask and I'm a little ashamed that I don't have one, plus Origins is excellent for sensitive skin such as mine so it's a worthwhile investment. I've heard such incredible things about the O Curler and I want to give it a go so much! I can't justify the £150 so I'm on the lookout for a salon that uses it to give it a test drive (any ideas let me know!) Ever since I saw the advert for this crazy looking Avon mascara I knew I had to try it! I am a mascara fiend, I've tried almost every wand on the market so this definitely needs to be purchased! Touche Eclat is my last try to cover up these awful bags that I'm carrying around under my eyes every day, no combating cream seems to work so make up is my only option. And we all know this YSL bad boy is a dream come true. And finally the complexion sponge - it's Real Techniques so obviously it's going to be great! I've never used any brush or sponge to apply my foundation so I'm intrigued to see how much of a difference it makes. Let's see how many of these are in my beauty box by the end of the month...</span></div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I think this is definitely my favourite out of the three outfits I am showing in these posts. I've been after a white two set ever since I saw good ol' <a href="http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/kim-kardashian-wears-same-outfit-3039262">Khloe and Kim Kardashian absolutely rocking one a few weeks ago</a>, and of course Zara was there to provide. I've NEVER been a fan of oversized coats or jackets, I think they are ridiculously unflattering and totally unfeminine. That is until I actually put aside my opinions and tried one on and fell a little bit in love, plus it's pastel mint green and totally cute and I just want it. The only issue with these two colours I feel is acessorising them, so I've had to stick to nude. Pretty simple again but I love it all the same. You don't have to be bold and bright to stand out from the crowd.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">As London Fashion Week starts tomorrow, it got me thinking what I would wear if I were to be so lucky as to receive invitations to one of the biggest fashion events in the world. I'm going to do this over two parts as I'd want to showcase a couple of different looks. I'm not one to go all out, so I think I'd be a little boring and just play it majorly safe on the first show. Leather look trousers (slammin no matter what) plain white heels and cami with a printed blazer in subtle shades of grey, black and white. Teamed up with my much loved Michael Kors watch in rose gold, and finished off with an oversized black clutch big enough to squeeze in my iPad and necessities. Chic and simple, nothing complicated, nothing too out there. For day one anyway. </span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; text-align: left;">For an extremely long time now I have had those pesky dark as night bags setting up camp under my eyes and refusing to go away. Concealer covers them yes, YSL Touche Eclat in particular, is my saving grace but I wanted to try something that combatted them, that made them go away and never return thus no longer needing say concealment. Eye creams can be ridiculously expensive and I do now wonder whether a more high end brand would be able to combat these buggers but I'm not prepared to spend a day's wages on finding out. If anyone has any samples holla at me! But for this one, I'd heard good things. Really good things in fact, and I must say I am disappointed. You can see what the product claims, but unfortunately after a months use I have seen no improvement, or any difference at all in my under eye area. The instructions state to use morning and night for a minimum of 3 weeks, however the serum is too oily to use under make up so I did not use in the morning, maybe that had an effect but I wouldn't think to a degree of cancelling out any effect that could have/would have happened. The product smells lovely, feels nice on the skin, and the tingling sensation you get after application really feels as if it is doing something, though unfortunately in my case it was not. If anyone has tried this product and has had good results after prolonged use then please let me know as I will continue use, until I find something better at least...</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I've got such a thing for <a href="http://www.missguided.co.uk/">Missguided </a>at the moment. If I'm honest I have a bit of a thing for Missguided the majority of the time. It is always stylish, on point fashion but at prices you have to double take on to check are actually correct. The sizing is a bit difficult to grasp at first but let's face it where isn't (Topshop I can range from a 4 to a 12, baffling) but that's about the only downside. Low prices, cheap delivery and they always have discounts to cinch the deal. These picks sum up everything I love at the moment, simple, minimalist but with a twist. The dress is as plain as can be but with the simple skort like fronting it just makes it so much more appealing to me, and it would be so easy to mix up with all kinds of accessories, definitely a spring staple. The two 'one-pieces' are both backless, a favourite of mine and again other than that small detail they are very simple cuts and shapes, and I just LOVE the print on the playsuit (it comes in a <a href="http://www.missguided.co.uk/elie-tartan-shift-dress-in-burgundy">dress</a> and <a href="http://www.missguided.co.uk/huna-pleated-tartan-skater-skirt">skirt</a> too!) I just think this quilted dress is so cute! I can imagine wearing it in the summer with my much loved jelly shoes and transparent clutch with a large glass of vino in the gardens of the village pub. Oh hurry up summer days, I miss you so. Finally, the shoes speak for themselves, a standard pair of ankle boots which a monochrome splash, and the much coveted midi heel with a bit of mock croc thrown in for good measure. Have a peek and see what catches your eyes, there are so many gems to be had, and such great bargains to be found.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Now this is more a 'look at how much I plan to read in the next month' kind of post rather than a review, as obviously I don't have days on end to sit reading and do little else. However I can tell you the reasons for these purchases. One - I read Mhairi McFarlane's 1st book <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/You-Had-Me-At-Hello/dp/000748805X/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1391557210&sr=1-3&keywords=mhairi+mcfarlane">'You Had Me At Hello'</a> and I bloody loved it, so this seemed like a good idea. It's a love story and I'm a sucker for a good love story so I'm pretty damn sure I'll get through it in no time. The Jodie Picoult book just caught my eye whilst browsing the shelves in Tesco and just from the blurb I had to get it. This is actually the book I have started reading and I AM HOOKED! It is a love story, crossed with an affair, crossed with the Holocaust, with chapters in the first person flitting between several different characters and flashbacks in time. It takes full concentration to read but it is just absolutely captivating. I've been reading it every spare second I have and I'm almost half way through in 3 days - I think that speaks volumes! Get it. Read it. And I'm sure you'll love it, as it's just brilliant writing - I'd expect nothing less from a Picoult book! And lastly The Rosie Project, I saw it on <a href="http://www.waterstones.com/waterstonesweb/bestSellersCategory.do?ctx=0&searchType=7">Waterstones Bestsellers</a> and again I saw it was a humorous love story and knew it was on my wavelength. I've high hopes for this so fingers crossed. It will be popped straight into my handbag for lunch break reading when I've finished with 'The Storyteller'. I'll post reviews as soon as I've completed each book, so keep an eye out!</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I was sceptical about<a href="http://www.boots.com/en/John-Frieda-Sheer-Blonde-Go-Blonder-lightening-spray-100ml_1162703/"> this lightening spray </a>when I first heard about it. Generally shampoos, conditioners, treatments or whatever it is that claim to have an effect on the changing of one's hair colour tend to be wrong. This however is an anomaly. It really does lighten hair, and the reason why... IT CONTAINS HYDROGEN PEROXIDE. Aka every time you use it, it is like putting bleach onto your hair. Some of the reviews I've read on Amazon show the effects to the people who did not read the label and just wanted a cheap way of getting blonde hair fast. Put simply, this product will lighten your hair, but if you abuse it, it will also damage it beyond repair. I have used it once, liberally all over the mid lengths of my hair to even out the difference in colour between the roots where highlights were applied to natural hair, and the mid lengths where there was previous colour build up. Once is enough for me, it has evened it out and has not had an adverse condition on my hair. The product states that it is only for use in between highlights, NOT as a replacement. I would definitely recommend this product for those looking to lighten, brighten and even out highlighted hair, but use with caution. John Frieda state that the product will not have any more lightening effects after 10 uses, I would only use it a maximum of 3 times with at least a weeks break in between. After all, yes fresh blonde hair is nice, but not when it's breaking off and leaving you with cotton wool looking locks. I fear that would not be the look you are going for. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">It's a trend that has been on the map a while now and it seems set to stay that way for quite a while to come. Whether it be in the form of monochrome, or tartan, or gingham, every store you look in at the moment you will find check clothing in mass. I actually already own the monochrome trousers as I am actually addicted to printed trousers and for just under £20 I just couldn't refuse! I am in desperate need of the head scarf, that's a trend I'm yet to venture into, but there are <a href="http://www.topshop.com/en/tsuk/category/bags-accessories-1702216/hair-accessories-464">several Topshop ones</a> that have caught my eye that I must try too! Tartan scarves have been a major player ever since <b><i>that</i></b> H&M tartan scarf last year, I've yet to invest - I feel it is imminently necessary. <a href="http://www.riverisland.com/women/sale/coats--jackets/Black-check-oversized-jacket-644053">This jacket</a> is stored in my mental wishlist (which is getting longer by the day), and it is currently online, on sale, in my size only - if that's not a sign then I don't know what is. I have a thing about night wear, hence why two have appeared on this showcase. The number of pyjama sets I own is just ridiculous and nightshirts are so practical for the coming (hopefully) warmer evenings, plus this bad boy is on sale too! Quite the bargain hunter I am! Slippers - well the obsession joins the pjs so I need say no more. 6 pairs and counting. And, well, the Topshop flock tee is just standard <a href="http://www.topshop.com/">Topshop</a>. On point, simple, and a staple item within your wardrobe! </span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">As always The Body Shop emailed me yet another offer that was too good to refuse so I decided that since it was payday last week, I would take them up on their offer this time. I have a crazy obsession at the moment with trying every single hair care product on the planet that promises me some kind of exceptional condition to coloured/frizzy/dry hair so the<a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/shop-by-range/coconut/coconut-oil-hair-shine.aspx"> Hair Shine</a> and <a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/bath-body-care/haircare/grapeseed-glossing-serum.aspx">Serum</a> were a must. I've only used them once so far, this evening in fact, so I will post a full review after a few more uses. For now though I can tell you that the <a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/bath-body-care/haircare/grapeseed-glossing-serum.aspx">Grapeseed Serum</a> smells sensational and the <a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/shop-by-range/coconut/coconut-oil-hair-shine.aspx">Coconut Oil Hair Shine</a> makes my hair softer to the touch than I've ever managed to get it before! The <a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/make-up/lips/lipscuff.aspx">lipscuff</a> does what it says on the tin - scuffs of the dead skin, but confusingly feels really moisturising at the same time. Puzzling, but I like it. I feel it will become a staple in my night time routine. And a product which after 2 days is already such a staple item - the <a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/shop-by-range/vitamin-e/vitamin-e-overnight-serum-in-oil-28ml.aspx">Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil</a>. I've previously professed my love for the Body Shop Vitamin E range (<a href="http://flutteringlashes-lou.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/pick-of-week_19.html">here</a> and <a href="http://flutteringlashes-lou.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/another-vitamin-e-savior.html">here</a>) and this is no difference. For an oil and serum it just does not feel oily on the skin. It sinks right in and clears up dry patches almost instantly, which is perfect since I've had the most hideous cold for the last 3 weeks - my nose has been suffering! If I were you, I'd take advantage of the £10 off voucher right away and snap up this serum for just £2, if it's the only thing you buy. Though I can guarantee you'll want a lot lot more!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">I am a huge fan of musicals, I mean huge! I love them. Cannot get enough. It is one of my aims in life to see every West End musical in existence and I'm going for it! Most recently I went to see <a href="http://www.matildathemusical.com/">Matilda</a> and it exceeded my expectations above and beyond! I mean I knew it was going to be good, I love the film (who doesn't) but my mind just couldn't comprehend how they could possibly turn it into a West End show full of music and dance and everything that the film isn't. But they did. And it is brilliant. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">The children are excellent actors and singers and dancers and everything that a musical requires. The songs, written by <a href="http://www.timminchin.com/">Tim Minchin</a>, are ridiculously catchy and the MAN who plays Miss Trunchbull is out of this world hilarious. It's brilliant for all ages, I loved it, the middle aged man next to me was not afraid to show just how much he loved it (as irritating as that was after 3 hours) and the school trip of primary children sat behind me definitely loved it - one so much so that he sang along to every single song and then proclaimed 'that was sick fam' - I think that covers the spectrum of possible viewers. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">If you're in London and want to catch a show I'd definitely recommend it, and if you have an hour to spare before hand you HAVE to check out <a href="http://thehawksmoor.com/pre-and-post-theatre">The Hawksmoor</a> just a few minutes round the corner in Covent Garden. It is by far the best steakhouse ever and they do a brilliant 'pre and post theatre' offer of a 3 course meal for £26, and you'd be more than happy paying double that! </span>Louhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00096302411074763952noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3169113192905430743.post-15281829466821971362014-02-01T13:32:00.000+00:002014-02-11T21:48:49.264+00:00Pick of the Week...<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I got this cute little diary as a Christmas present to myself purely for the fact that I thought it was a bloody awesome idea. How cool will it be to look back in 5 years time and see just what you were thinking all those years ago. From simple straight to the point questions such as 'what was the last meal you cooked for someone' to more slightly tougher more sincere questions such as 'can people change' (that one took me a while!) It's perfect bedside table size but with plenty of room to write a wordy answer, I just love it. A cheap thoughtful gift for a friend or family member or just a gift to yourself. I'm excited to look back this time next year and laugh at today's response in particular. I'm hoping I'll be experiencing a fairly different set up come February 2015...</span>Louhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00096302411074763952noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3169113192905430743.post-53665957868603823992014-01-30T08:47:00.000+00:002014-01-30T08:47:55.924+00:00Tangle Teezer Vs. <br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I've mentioned before that I absolutely swear by my<a href="http://www.tangleteezer.com/index.php"> Tangle Teezer</a>! My hair gets very knotted and dry and frizzy and everything that you do not want your hair to be like, so anything I can do to try to protect it and take care of it I will do, hence the Tangle Teezer. However, recently I have discovered <a href="http://www.thewetbrush.com/">The Wet Brush</a> and it absolutely kicks the Tangle Teezer's arse! Let's compare...</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">So the Tangle Teezer pros. It glides through the hair, skimming over all tangles, leaving hair soft and smooth. The cons. It is a bloody pain in the arse to hold. How does The Wet Brush beat it I hear you ask? Well for one it has a handle, like a normal brush, and therefore is much easier to use. Unlike the Tangle Teezer it does not simply 'skim over the tangles' it actually gets rid of them with minimal pain and pulling. This is due to the longer more flexible bristles in comparison to the Tangle Teezers short and stiff bristles. And best of all it is specifically designed for wet hair. One of the main rules of hair care is to not brush hair when it is wet as that is when it is most likely to cause damage. And best of all it's cheaper! My Tangle Teezer has now been demoted to the bottom of my beauty box, though previously in my search to photograph it for this post I did in fact find it under the drivers seat of my car. Well and truly replaced. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I'm definitely really far behind with this post as my boyfriend and I went to Paris in November, but I got some really beautiful photos that I had to share. We went for a whirlwind 4 days and it was absolutely manic trying to fit everything into that short space of time. I knew that was a lot to see, but I don't think I really grasped quite how much 'a lot' is. I definitely want to go back for a long weekend again and enjoy a slightly more laid back, possibly less rainy trip but we do everything we set out. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">The photographs say pretty much all that needs to be said, although there is one thing I feel the need to say. If you only had one night in Paris, make sure you spend it at the Moulin Rouge - it is absolutely out of this world incredible and well worth the £80 ticket. By far my favourite part of Paris, along with the copious amount of wine and sensational food on offer. Oh and you HAVE to go eat at <a href="http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g187147-d799546-Reviews-Marguerite-Paris_Ile_de_France.html">Marguerite</a> - but make sure you book a table otherwise you won't ever get to try the most delicious food your taste buds could experience! You have been warned. </span>Louhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00096302411074763952noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3169113192905430743.post-55209739828430752442014-01-27T19:19:00.000+00:002014-01-27T19:19:06.189+00:00January Wish List...<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I really don't know why I put myself through this kind of torture because even the two cheapest items on this wishlist are out of my reach at the moment. I really despise being a grown up and having bills and responsibilities, 21 is too young for this kind of craziness, I need all these beautiful (and completely necessary) things in my life! I mentally spend my wages five times over before I've even got them, conveniently forgetting the bills of course, and these have made their way to the top of the list. Every girl needs a perfect fitting pair of jeans, straight hair, kissable lips, sexy underwear, good shoes, long flowing hair, a practical handbag, and a good book to curl up in bed with. They are all perfectly reasonable purchases. Especially on the first payday of the year. <span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">The first thing I feel the need to say is that as of tomorrow I shall have a proper camera, to do proper outfit posts instead of doing in the mirror selfies that turn out blurred and generally pretty crappy. It's no SLR, but it will definitely be a great improvement on the slightly battered iPhone. I've got to get this blogging mullarky right this time round and I guess that starts with good images, so we shall see where it goes from there. But as for today's, it is a crappy iPhone image, but let's try and forget that and focus on the slammin material that is PVC.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">When I mentioned to my boyfriend about getting one, his response was 'I haven't seen PVC since a film set in the 60s, but I'm sure you'll rock it'... I was dubious because let's face it PVC/any kind of latex material is considered a bit kinky, out there, crazy but being the shopaholic I am I just had to have it and I tell you what I bloody love it. Teamed with a simple tee it just works. It's simple. It's not fussy. It is what it is. The fit is ridiculously flattering, I might wear it everyday - although does restrict walking abilities just a tad. The things we do for fashion aye. </span>Louhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00096302411074763952noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3169113192905430743.post-23564148283904644632014-01-25T15:14:00.001+00:002014-01-26T19:26:49.872+00:00Here We Go Again...<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">It's been just over three months since my last blog post, and until right now, right in this moment I've had no inclination to start up again. I feel like I got myself into a place where I was forcing myself to blog every day and felt guilty when I didn't and the stress of work, uni, money, life in general just made me hate it. My heart wasn't in it and it just stopped. But right now, today, it's as if everything has just changed in a minute. I woke up in an insanely good mood and I'm just going to run with it. Not wanting to jinx anything but things are as close to perfect as I think they possibly could be.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />
So I'm sat here with Will.I.Am and Miley Cyrus blasting through my Dre Beats (don't judge me) and I've got all these ideas flying around in my head and I'm more motivated than I have been for a very long time! I'm not going to promise anything in this post, as from experience that's where things start to go downhill, but I'm just going to go with it. It's going to be a mash up of outfits, columns, beauty, diet/exercise updates, just a random selection of whatever is going on in my head. It could be interesting. We shall see. So I'm going to crack on the kettle, have a cuppa, get myself sorted and be right back at you with an outfit post. The first of 2014. And hopefully the first of many to come. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />
P.S - Anyone reading this who knows a great blog designer please please PLEASE drop me a comment, I need this bad boy sorting out. New start and all that...</span><br />

I'm finding it so hard to manage two jobs, spend time with my family and friends, have some me time and blog. It just doesn't work, and unfortunately it's my blog that's taken the hit. I will try and do better but I think my days of daily blogging are now a distant memory. And maybe that will be a good thing, after all, it's quality not quantity. She says as she is about to put up some awful quality selfies as a form of outfit post. Apologies. <div><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgp6etifVg3Ktrwl8cff2ktRPeM23RqiAGDSn6AXJxuwtqFTljYYtAz352VSJz5WFqlT9jNfkF802ZliFs4vXVC2vn855S8e6Awr7BIzLAZRfnJ9UdbkiYk7p8DFcXWRcuhc2GYKr7Vkt0h/s640/blogger-image--278996238.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgp6etifVg3Ktrwl8cff2ktRPeM23RqiAGDSn6AXJxuwtqFTljYYtAz352VSJz5WFqlT9jNfkF802ZliFs4vXVC2vn855S8e6Awr7BIzLAZRfnJ9UdbkiYk7p8DFcXWRcuhc2GYKr7Vkt0h/s640/blogger-image--278996238.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibH_oaU153hoEtPDj9VGA35qRH_WESElB9KHEXyaRY4abtPO_FkI0phpeLPNWhbdylOqZD3mfqQCTpiT2gyVVIgiKuMkIJJNWXPDu7k_ikmFYFqUuwI9HvWreIEoq_NhnzVuJo0A1mke6h/s640/blogger-image--647115681.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibH_oaU153hoEtPDj9VGA35qRH_WESElB9KHEXyaRY4abtPO_FkI0phpeLPNWhbdylOqZD3mfqQCTpiT2gyVVIgiKuMkIJJNWXPDu7k_ikmFYFqUuwI9HvWreIEoq_NhnzVuJo0A1mke6h/s640/blogger-image--647115681.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Blazer - eBay, £12.99</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Blouse - Primark, £4</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Skirt - Topshop, £28</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Heels - Zara (LAST SEASON)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I went out for dinner for my uncles birthday yesterday, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to dress up just a little. It's a bit oversized which is what I wasn't sure on but the tuxedo collar and teamed with a skirt/dress make it appear much more feminine. Typical organisation from myself. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><br></div><br></div>Louhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00096302411074763952noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3169113192905430743.post-9534939838078859572013-10-06T19:15:00.000+01:002013-10-07T20:02:33.680+01:00What To Wear To A Wedding...<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I mentioned on my Twitter earlier in the week that I am having an absolute nightmare trying to find something to wear to a wedding I have in a couple of weeks time. I want something that can take me swiftly from the ceremony through to the evening reception without being too dressy or too casual, too simple or too bold. I didn't think that was too much to ask. Clearly it is. I am so disappointed with the selection of clothing available at the moment, it's a bloody nightmare! So basically, I need your help guys...</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="text-align: start;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">So far this is the only dress I have tried on that I even remotely like. It fits me nicely and clings on all the right places, but I'm just not convinced if it is suitable for a wedding. In terms of accessories I was thinking some white barely there heels and a cute little fascinator for the ceremony. Thoughts? </span></span></div>

I wrote a post on the top 10 things I'd like to do 4 months ago <a href="http://flutteringlashes-lou.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/the-bucket-list.html">(see here)</a> but now I want to compile a proper bucket list. No set numbers, just everything I want to do at this point in my life. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">A lot has changed over the past couple of months and it's made me question everything that I thought I wanted to do in the future. I sometimes forget in the whole craziness with leaving work and joining the 'real world' that I am only 21 years old and life doesn't have to be quite as serious as my parents feel the need to make out. I have a job, I earn money, I can support myself. Yeah it may not be a career yet but there is plenty of time for that, why not enjoy these next few years whilst I'm young, and forget about all that seriousness for now. Sounds like a plan to me anyway.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Anyway, before I really get into it, my bucket list take two. The real deal. I'm sure I will keep adding to this over time but for now these are what have made the cut...</span><br />

I now am a fully fledged graduate with a 2:1 degree in Writing Fashion and Culture (aka fashion journalism), I went ice skating at Rockafella Center as part of a uni trip to New York, I visited LA on a school trip which feels like a lifetime ago now, I currently have three tattoos and am in the process of planning a fourth, I passed my driving test in 2010, and I went to an active volcano as part of a school trip to Hawaii which joined onto the aforementioned LA trip. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I'm sure there are a million and one things that I haven't put on this list that I want to do at some point in my life, but these are the ones that stick out to me. I think that every single one of my lovely readers should write their own bucket list post and comment me with the link or hashtag it on Twitter #BloggerBucketList as I'd love to see what everyone else wants to do. So yeh, do it. Entertain me on my lonely Sunday evening.</span></div>

I've been feeling pretty damn opinionated as of recent so it's about time I cracked out a post like this but I've been lacking inspiration recently. Until now that is. Last night I was watching 'No Strings Attached' and other than the fact that Natalie Portman's character is insanely pessimistic, it got me thinking, can you genuinely just be friends with benefits? </span><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"><br></span></div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgi3GuCPMOsFtaFrG2AeLnmZT4fLh59NEFHPBAa7b4M-koQRw24su3P8ksUJqjnOnEFkM9jS1a9LOW7JeHvcDdQbyia9ju0-uc4lQcdOFEHfzRd-1HK5zRdE-BG_O4_7KmU76XpCN5fhvGN/s640/blogger-image--1347631594.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgi3GuCPMOsFtaFrG2AeLnmZT4fLh59NEFHPBAa7b4M-koQRw24su3P8ksUJqjnOnEFkM9jS1a9LOW7JeHvcDdQbyia9ju0-uc4lQcdOFEHfzRd-1HK5zRdE-BG_O4_7KmU76XpCN5fhvGN/s640/blogger-image--1347631594.jpg"></a></div></span><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><br></span></div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">In my opinion, no. Plain and simple. I'm sure many will disagree, I'm sure many will agree. In fact I'm sure many will be split directly down the middle down to personal experiences. Personally I think it is physically and emotionally possible to have sex with someone on a regular basis without there being some kind of feelings there, and more often than not they are completely one sided! If you ask me, if you have sex as above with no emotion whatsoever, then it's got to be pretty crap sex. People jump into having sex with someone else in the hope it will lead to something more which in a lot of cases it doesn't and it's pretty heartbreaking, take it from one who has learnt from that mistake previously. </span></div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><br></span></div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">All this being said, I think 'seeing each other' arrangements can work pretty well, as long as you both know what you're getting into. Whilst you're young, what is better than having someone exclusively who is there for you, makes you laugh, that you can have fun with and great sex, without having any of the complications or pressure of a serious relationship! Now don't get me wrong, if I find the right person I'd love a relationship but I'm not one of those 20 something women who spend their days worrying about being single and dying an old lady with only cats as companions. After two weeks at work I feel like I never went away, I'm sure a lot of you can relate. Today's style diary is a bit of a mish mash. I wanted to show you my favourite bikini ever without being overly 'look I'm in a bikini' so I've thrown it together with my favourite kaftan, a last minute purchase which I'm so glad I went for! And yes. They're all selfies. Apologies. My bank balance at present won't allow for a packet of crisps let alone a tripod and decent camera! Roll on pay day!<div><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioIr93itbUxQ7MopHnpVoTWdg5V7Wp2vZRn6XNl2t_bT1y4O0P6gC8XDUZNIMSXvI40DMyGKvnWep7ceaLAfHXeHvMYa7QmYopFpWXIBPWIq1cwUChzmsh5xO_zUMwsJx3g9LNRI8wxpZ4/s640/blogger-image--1289124048.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioIr93itbUxQ7MopHnpVoTWdg5V7Wp2vZRn6XNl2t_bT1y4O0P6gC8XDUZNIMSXvI40DMyGKvnWep7ceaLAfHXeHvMYa7QmYopFpWXIBPWIq1cwUChzmsh5xO_zUMwsJx3g9LNRI8wxpZ4/s640/blogger-image--1289124048.jpg"></a></div><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmhoafqKrVAePui-NFttJC7F3J1BSKM0ym9L4FDcwCKjAqDlrGvwmS7ggDh00Mk9fOhCb6b1G6seMFuxlD0S-e6gBWDnwMW0uiuS8vtIdAsBUOSkEAfRrJ99FkThRGhzbi6rIH4Hgin4qg/s640/blogger-image-296530595.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmhoafqKrVAePui-NFttJC7F3J1BSKM0ym9L4FDcwCKjAqDlrGvwmS7ggDh00Mk9fOhCb6b1G6seMFuxlD0S-e6gBWDnwMW0uiuS8vtIdAsBUOSkEAfRrJ99FkThRGhzbi6rIH4Hgin4qg/s640/blogger-image-296530595.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTDiZ_5zx6HU8DKIrqmyncZq6Y1xc7zJil3zx6uUU5F9e83hCIkrKgSVDANg0H0nK5lGFDDGHx2Mw20Dv74L8jkX63Bx7qqB-zx2lta-EK05WIxt6EA45eU4jaQ7UOmwrINCLwrIrhBpSq/s640/blogger-image-868522154.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTDiZ_5zx6HU8DKIrqmyncZq6Y1xc7zJil3zx6uUU5F9e83hCIkrKgSVDANg0H0nK5lGFDDGHx2Mw20Dv74L8jkX63Bx7qqB-zx2lta-EK05WIxt6EA45eU4jaQ7UOmwrINCLwrIrhBpSq/s640/blogger-image-868522154.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> Bikini - H&M, £14.99</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> Kaftan - Boohoo, £8</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> Belt - ASOS (OLD)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"> Sunglasses - Topshop, £14</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I adored this bikini from the moment I laid eyes on it! I have a bit of a thing for white bikinis, I think mainly because they enhance your tan, and for someone whois borderline albino and tans only a very slight amount, any enhancement is welcomed with open arms. As someone who is not very blessed in the bosom department, i have come to learn that bandeau bikinis are the way forward and the pretty detailing on the halter neck just separated this from the otherwise plain alternatives in its price range! I can't fault it at all. Other than the fact that it was one size too small, damn you H&M for making such good, sell out items! I may be small but a 6 was certainly a squeeze! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">The kaftan was just the best holiday purchase I think I've ever made! It was just perfect to throw on over absolutely everything which was so ideal for a quick pop to the shop for an ice cream or out into the town. I hate walking round in just a bikini but there's nothing worse than sweltering in a full on shorts and t shirt combo. Not to mention putting shorts on after a swim in the sea. Ew damp. This has none of those issues. Plus it's mighty cute! I shall be storing it well ready for next years sunshine madness! Foundation, powder, mascara. Done. I only need 3. But when I actually looked at the creams and serums I apply before make up I actually found it a little more challenging. But these are my MUST MUST haves for everyday wear...</span><br>

<b><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">As you can see all the products are pretty well used and battered, so there's no doubt they are my daily essentials!</span></b></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br></span>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/shop-by-range/vitamin-e/vitamin-e-facial-oil.aspx"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Vitamin E Facial Oil - The Body Shop, £11</span></a></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Rimmel-Scandaleyes-Mascara_1238021/"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara - Boots, £6.99</span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">The vitamin E facial oil is just out of this world and I honestly could not go a day without putting it on. I usually put two mascaras on but I just had to give one of them up for this challenge in order to keep this bad boy! It instantly clears up all dry patches which can be particularly pesky on my nose, but this little miracle in a bottle sorts it right out. Now it may seem odd that I have to use oil to clear up the dry patches on my skin, but then I use mattifying foundation and powder, but it just works. My skin seems to get quite oily throughout the duration of the day, and these two products together just keep that shininess at bay. Eyelash curlers are my favourite beauty product ever!!! I have pretty long lashes anyway but they just give them the height they need in order to only need a quick swishing of mascara in the morning, which is where the lovely Scandaleyes mascara comes in. I usually use this combined with <a href="http://www.avon.uk.com/PRSuite/whatshot1.page">Avon's Supershock mascara</a> but if I had to pick just one the Rimmel is a no brainer. It lengthens, thickens, volumnises. Everything. It is far better than any other high end mascara I have used, and it is well under a tenner. Beaut. </span></div>

One because despite my best efforts I cannot manage to post everyday, and two I like to have the freedom to post odds and sods that pop into my head whenever I fancy. But the next topic for 'SGS' is pink.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Now I'm not a particularly pink person. I don't own one single item of clothing that is solidly pink, it's just not my kind of thing. I'm much more of a blue and black and white girl if I'm honest, with a flash of colour every now and again. This being said, I did have a look around my room when trying to decide how I was going to do this post, and I thought I'd mix it up a bit. So instead of doing a fashion pink post, I'm going to relate it to my beauty love. Lipstick.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Now I'm more of a red lippy fanatic, but I got sent this by Maybelline and it is probably one of my favourite gloss/lipsticks right now. It's staying power is just out of this world, and the colour is so bold. I really cannot fault it. I really do not like gloss. I hate that just about everything that you come into contact sticks to it, namely every single strand of hair on your hair. But with this bad boy as soon as you apply a slathering of the white balm it is instantly matte. It is a completely bugger to get off, but as least you know that no matter how many glasses of wine you pour down your neck or how many mcdonalds burgers you eat on the drunken walk home, this lippy isn't going anyway. <span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Apologies for the screen shotted snapchat, but it's the only picture I have that shows a little more detail to my necklace. This outfit was for a nice meal out in the most lovely restaurant over looking the ocean. It was absolutely beautiful, and the carbonara was to die for! Italian food = very happy Louise. </span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">But in terms of the outfit, I am a little in love with this skirt. I have the co ordinated blouse also but I think I do prefer it as a stand alone piece, as it is pretty bold as it is It cinches in lovely around the waist and is just long enough without having to be concerned about flashing everyone every time you slightly move. The crop top was an easy, cool addition; teamed up with a necklace with the same fleck of duck egg blue and clear jelly shoes. Obviously the pineapple hair do was the best part about the entire ensemble I'm sure you'll agree... </span></div>
