This Months Beauty Buys...

I went on a little bit of a spree in Boots this week. I don't know why it is, but my make up always seems to run out all at the same time, and require a massive spenditure in one go. Not good. However, it has just been my birthday so I thought I'd treat myself to some decent bits this time round instead of my usual Rimmel products. £35 down and these were the results...

I've been after a foundation that is good for my skin and doesn't cost me the world for a while now. I used to use the Elizabeth Arden Pure Finish Mineral Powder foundation which I absolutely adore, but at £21 a pot and lasting only 4-5 weeks it was costing me a bomb to keep up. My Mum is a huge champion of no7 products for her skin so I thought I'd give it a go, and in one day I'm already seeing why she is such a big fan. It is perfect for my combination skin, keeps it looking matte all day, and suits my skin tone perfectly. I will do a proper review soon. The benefit mascara really doesn't need much explanation. It's one of the best in the beauty world and it works wonders in only one layer. It cuts a good few minutes off my morning routine which is always good as I'm never on time. As I'm writing this I should be leaving for work! Oops. And finally the blush. I'm lusting after the MAC one at the moment but miles away from a stockist and not trusting online colour representations I just picked up this cheapy collection 2000 in a pink/brown shade. It actually works really well on my skin and is really subtle. Couldn't really go wrong for £2.99.

Sorry for the HUGEEEE up close but I just wanted you to see how flawlessly matte this foundation makes my skin look - incredible!

    1. Of course! I take full advantage of my boots points, I'm currently saving them up to treat myself to some new perfume!

Thank you, it really does work wonders - I can't believe I've only just discovered it. They use a little machine in store to match your skin colour to the right shade of foundation too which is perfect for me as I have such strange pigmentation.

    1. Thank you. It's so good on sensitive skin and the foundation has such good coverage and staying power. If you have combination/oily skin this is perfect, I'd definitely recommend it.
