My skin has never been in terrible condition. I've managed to get through my teen years without having too many bad breakouts and my skin tends to be pretty clear the majority of the time. I only have to wear foundation really to even out my skin tone as it can look a tad patchy at times.
Though as of recent, my skin hasn't been at its best. I blame 3 factors. One being the fact that I am a ridiculously picky water. I tend to live off tesco meal deals, bucket loads of pasta and a fair amount of Chinese takeaways. Not exactly what you'd call healthy. The second: my inability to be able to afford my love affair with my Elizabeth Arden face powder therefore causing me to use Rimmel foundation. Great for coverage, terrible for my skin, and it doesn't help that I fall asleep in it on more than one occasion. And lastly, the weather. We all know winter wrecks havoc with the complexion, dry and patchy and just generally not the best.
Therefore I decided I needed to take action. My daily skin routine consists of using a face wipe to get my slap off, and a quick wash with some soap and water. Done. Now I am well aware that I should have a cleanse, tone, and moisturise routine. I have been advised of this on many occasions. However, I don't have time in the morning to grab breakfast let alone go through all that kerfuffle. So in looking into a good product to cleanse and tone skin in one, I came across this bad boy...
The Body Shop vitamin E facial wash. I treated myself to this little lovely when the body shop was offering 40% off all purchases so I picked it up for just over £4, usually retailing at £8 so still pretty reasonable. Containing vitamin E rich wheat germ oil, this facial wash claims to rinse away make up and impurities, as well as to condition and protect against dryness. Perfect. Just what I was looking for. However, we all know that the blurb on products is not always the outcome that occurs.
This product however is bang on with it's claims! It's a nice creamy consistency, you only need the tiniest amount and it lathers up beautifully. After rinsing off and dabbing dry with a towel my skin feels so so soft, and looks really refreshed and brightened. I love it! As far as I'm concerned forget about the 3 step cleanse, tone and moisturise scheme: this product does it all for me and in about 20 seconds. What's not to like!? Give it a try ladies, I promise you won't regret it!
