Royal Fashion at it's Peak...

So I've been working a fair amount over the past few days, racking up the pennies for Christmas and all that so I haven't had a brilliant amount of time to post or keep up with all the happenings on about the world outside of my little village hotel. But I've just seen these pictures of Kate Middleton in her first public appearance since announcing her pregnancy; at the Sports Personality of the Year Awards, and man doesn't she look incredible - especially as she has just walked out of hospital!

It's that big bouncy hair. I don't understand how she does it. Although lets face it, it's definitely not her that does it, but even so her stylist deserves an award. There is never one single hair out of place and it's always got a ridiculous amount of volume - so so jealous! Looking rather beautiful above in a gorgeous, bottle green Alexander McQueen dress with the drop dead gorgeous David Beckham (come on ladies we all want to marry this man) and right at the top the incredible Miss Jessica Ennis (check out her booty, swapsies!?) And it got me to thinking about some of the other pretty amazing/rather expensive outfits that we've seen the newest Royal out and about in.

Known as a woman with simple but sophisticated fashion taste, the impeccable Miss Middleton definitely knows how to keep her look up to date. Whether it be a bit of bold embellishment, or some subtle lacing, she is bang on trend with her picks. I think it's fair to say that McQueen is probably the Mum to be's first port of call when it comes to any posh do that's she's got coming up in her diary - which let's face it, is every other day. But she has definitely got a bulging wardrobe of many beautiful gowns from many talented designers, my personal favourite being that of the absolutely brilliant Jenny Packham. Just take a look for yourself...

And I couldn't possibly do a fashion piece on Kate Middleton without including the absolutely astoundingly beautiful wedding gowns by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. Possibly the most highly anticipated dress in fashion for the past decade! Stunning.

What are your favourites? Are you like me a Packham and McQueen lover (who isn't) or do you prefer the more demure Catherine Walker and Temperley look?
