The Oscars 2013...

And here it is, yet ANOTHER red carpet fashion opinion piece. We have seen so many awards ceremonies as of recent, but I think this may possibly be my favourite one where the fashion is concerned. The Oscars is always sure to bring some Hollywood glamour to it's proceedings, and this year definitely didn't fail. As always there were as few people that slightly missed the mark, but it was a definite improvement from some of the looks showcased at the Brit Awards last week.

My favourite of the night was the ever beautiful Amanda Seyfried in this stunning Alexander McQueen gown. The Les Miserables star pretty much always looks incredible on the red carpet, and once again she has wowed us with her elegant style.

In a very close second place comes British-Australian actress Naomi Watts in a sparking Armani Prive floor length number. I love the cut out shoulder, which adds a little extra wow factor to the otherwise simply cut sequinned gown. The slightly messy updo and minimal jewellery work perfectly to let the dress do all of the talking.

And just making her way into my top three, is Kate Bosworth in Giambattista Valli. I love how cute this dress is without looking too girly and overpowering. The nude tones and the modest embellishment work perfect on Kate's pale complexion, and the cut is perfect on her tiny frame. A square clutch bag and some strappy sandals and she just looks stunning. I love the plaited up do also - very summery chic.

Also catching my eye...

Amy Adams in Oscar De La Renta

Jessica Chastain in Armani Prive

Anne Hathaway in Prada

Stacy Kiebler in Naeem Khar

Jennifer Hudson in Roberto Cavalli

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior

Who were your favourites from last night? And do you agree with my thinking in that the Oscars have definitely been the best event in terms of fashion out of this seasons awards ceremonies?
