If you're a regular reader of my blog then you will know that I'm always moaning about my hair. It's inability to grow, the colour, the style - everything. It drives me mad and I'm much too impatient with it. I've started to use my Lee Stafford goodies but I need to get the dead ends chopped off this weekend so it actually has a chance of growing. So whilst I'm waiting for the impossible to happen, the only thing to do to drown out my boredom is do something with the colour.
Now I know it is getting a little old, but I'm still a huge fan of ombre hair, but I've always been a bit sceptical of it on short hair. I can't help but think it just looks like you cannot be bothered to get your roots done. However, I saw the below picture of Miley Cyrus whilst doing research for my beauty pieces for my friends FMP, and I actually quite like the look she has achieved. The way the blonde hues have been blended in closer to the top at the front bring it all together, rather than looking too block. I love it, although I'm not sure how it would work with my side fringe. But I'll definitely be taking this picture with my hairdresser and going for this or an all over caramel blonde. We shall see.
Whilst doing my research, I found some absolutely awesome ombre hair styles. It seems that celebs all across the globe are steering away from the browns and blondes and adorning their hair with all colours of the rainbow. Lauren Conrad being a personal hair envy with this trend. How I wish my hair was naturally blonde to be able to pull off some of the amazing looks she has come up with. The pink definitely has to be my absolute forever but how amazing is the rainbow dip dye. Oh long blonde hair how I lust after you!
If any of my lovely readers have experimented with dip dyes - colour or with short hair, or even both, then please link me to your blog posts or pictures as I'd love some inspiration with what to do with mine. xoxo
